About this costume:
Aphrodite IX is one of my favorite Top Cow characters. She is a self-aware android assassin who forgets who she is after each mission. The series was cut short, but is great! The costume took forever to make, because finding the right supplies was difficult. The skirt and torn up shirt were easy enough. Finding a green wig was a nightmare. I could not find the right shade of green so I ended up purchasing a white wig, and coloring it BY HAND with a green sharpie. It turned out great though, so I am very happy! After buying the goggles, the body armor, a little face paint and a permanent marker tattoo, we were ready to go!
The shoot was amazing, but a full day activity. The Saint Paul Pioneer Press ended up doing a feature on cosplay and followed us around all day to see what it is like. All through the makeup process, hair, and shooting we had a camera on us. You can find a link to the video on youtube here
